1. General Terms

1.1 These Terms and Conditions must be accepted by the Customer prior to the commencement of the Service. The Booking form must clearly state the Collection Address and Delivery Address of the Vehicle.

1.2 Jobs Performed by CTS: Where CTS carries out the Service directly, the Customer contracts with CTS. CTS will be responsible for the safe transport of the Vehicle, and our insurance will apply.

1.3 Subcontracted Jobs: In some cases, CTS may act as an agent and arrange for a subcontractor to carry out the Service. In such cases:

  • A deposit of £50.00 is required at the time of booking, payable to CTS for arranging the Service.

  • The balance must be paid directly to the subcontractor prior to collection of the Vehicle.

  • The transport contract is between the Customer and the subcontractor.

1.4 Payment can be made via Debit/Credit Card, PayPal, or Bank Transfer. Payments made by Card or PayPal will include a £5 transaction fee.

2. Cancellation

2.1 Cancellations for UK jobs must be received at least 28 days prior to the collection date for a full refund. For cancellations within 28 days, no refund will be provided.

2.2 No refunds are available for international collection or delivery addresses.

3. Vehicle Requirements

3.1 Vehicles must be in a roadworthy and serviceable condition and accessible for inspection at the Collection Point. CTS employees or subcontractors reserve the right to refuse service if the Vehicle is deemed unroadworthy, unserviceable, or inaccessible.

3.2 If the Vehicle is deemed unfit for towing or inaccessible, any amount paid in excess of £250 will be refunded. No refunds will be provided for amounts up to and including £250. Should the Customer wish to rearrange, full payment and a new booking form must be submitted.

4. Inspection and Vehicle Condition Report

4.1 If CTS carries out the Service directly, a Vehicle Condition Report (including photographs and/or video) will be completed. The Customer (or Agent) must agree to and sign the report.

4.2 For subcontracted Services, the subcontractor is responsible for any inspection or condition report.

5. Delivery and Collection by Subcontractors

5.1 Subcontractors will contact the Customer at least 24 hours in advance of collection or delivery.

5.2 Responsibility for the Vehicle during transit lies entirely with the subcontractor. Claims for damage, loss, or delay must be made directly against the subcontractor and their insurer.

5.3 CTS is not responsible for handling or forwarding claims relating to subcontracted services.

6. Subcontracting

6.1 CTS reserves the right to subcontract part or all of the Service.

6.2 The Customer acknowledges that when the Service is subcontracted, CTS is acting only as a booking agent and that the transport contract exists directly between the Customer and the subcontractor.

6.3 CTS will provide subcontractor contact and insurance details to enable the Customer to pursue claims directly.

7. Liability and Claims

7.1 Where CTS performs the Service directly, we are liable under the terms of our insurance policy, except in cases of:

  • Circumstances beyond our control (e.g., Acts of God, acts of war, civil commotion).

  • Electrical or mechanical breakdowns, inherent faults, or defects.

  • Damage caused by unavoidable road events (e.g., stones hitting the Vehicle).

7.2 Where a subcontractor performs the Service, liability rests solely with the subcontractor. CTS is not liable for any Claims or Losses arising from subcontracted services.

8. Customer Responsibilities

8.1 The Customer is responsible for ensuring the Vehicle has a spare wheel and complies with current legislation. Any unforeseen costs incurred during towing (e.g., tyre blowouts) will be met by the Customer.
